Kyoshi Anthony Ryan has been a dedicated Martial Artist for over 35 years, and a full-time practitioner for over 30years. As a 7th Dan black belt, Anthony has spent decades not only honing his craft in Australia but has travelled countless times to various parts of the globe (including Okinawa, Japan and China) to further develop his knowledge, understanding and skill.

Today, he works directly with Kancho Robert Sullivan and Kyoshi Gavin Samin to help oversee GKR Karate’s development in terms of Instructor resources, manuals, and class curriculums.

Anthony is also involved in developing online educational content for GKR Karate’s very own Online Karate and Fitness Academy, teaching all aspects of karate – from White Belts to Black belt and beyond. To visit the GKR Online Karate and Fitness Academy click here.

As a 5-time Individual Gold Medallist in GKR Karate World Cups, Anthony is the organization’s International Director of Coaching, training our top Tournament Coaches in the latest training methods and strategies for tournament karate.
