NSW Online Kata Tournament

GKR Karate is excited to be running our very first Online Kata Tournament for students in New South Wales!

Please note: Each kata is its own division and there are 5 different age categories for each kata division (further details below)

Kata Divisions & Entry Dates

Group 1 – Entries due in by Sunday 12th September
1) Taigyoku Shodan For students 7th kyu or below only
2) Taigyoku Nidan For students 7th kyu or below
3) Saifa For students 8th to 5th kyu only
Group 2 – Entries to be submitted between Monday 13th & Sunday 19th September
4) Bassai-dai For students 6th kyu – 3rd kyu only
5) Seiunchin For students 4th kyu – 1st kyu only
6) Empi For students 3rd kyu – Shodan-Ho only
Group 3 – Entries to be submitted between Monday 20th & Sunday 26th September
7) Sanseru, Sepai, Hangetsu For students 1st kyu – Nidan
8) Kururunfa, Kanku-Dai, Shisochin For students Shodan & above
9) Kanku-Sho, Seisan, Sochin For students Nidan & above

All divisions are male and female combined and will be broken into the following age categories:

  • Up to 7 years
  • 8 to 12 years
  • 13 to 17 years
  • 18 to 34 years
  • 35 + years

Attach your video for upload, simple as that!

Video entries must be submitted at the specific times relevant to the division being entered.
