“Hi there! My name is Amy Willis, and I am a Membership Consultant for GKR Karate in Region 30. I’m passionate about helping people discover the many benefits of training in karate and being part of GKR Karate for the last 25 years has given me the opportunity to share these benefits with people of all ages and abilities. It’s always rewarding to see students grow not only in their ability and fitness levels, but also in their confidence and self-esteem.

I am a 5th Dan who loves to motivate students in achiving anything they set their minds on, especially women’s empowerment. My goal was to always show mums they can still be powerful woman and a super mum at the same time. I used karate and teaching to help my own mental health in losing a child, then while I was pregnant and navigating a new born. It is the best feeling seeing people reach goals and seeing the growth karate has on a person. Karate has always been a big part of my life and it’s great to join people into this journey.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your existing skills, you’ll find our classes welcoming and supportive. My goal is to help you achieve your personal best, continue developing your confidence, and feel a strong sense of belonging in our karate community.
